Multichannel Audio and Video over IP

26.09.2018 | Entertainment

Admarel has become the first maritime electronics supplier to launch a complete onboard Multichannel Audio and Video over IP system, capable of routing any audio and video signal from source to destination on board all types of yachts. The new solution creates the highest levels of video and audio functionality and performance, and significantly reduces the risk of introducing noise and hum in the signal path.

How does it work?

Any audio or video source and their signals, e.g. satellite decoders, video or audio on demand players, Apple TV, internet radio or TV, background music, public playlists etc. placed in a main, branch or local equipment centre can be made available via the IT network.
This means that from the source HDMI interface, the 4K video and eight multichannel audio signals via Dante TM /AES67 are available across the network. The system supports the design and deployment of the highest levels of functionality and performance of the Video and Audio over IP system. It has never been easier to undertake pre- and post-audio signal processing and to dynamically route the audio Dante TM /AES67 and video signals over the network from any source to any destination. This ensures that the signal / data stays in the “digital domain” from source to monitor and amplifier, and full control is maintained without the risk of introducing noise and hum in the signal path.

Supported video: 4K@60Hz (4:4:4), HDR, HDMI2.0 and HDCP 2.2.
Supported audio: bit stream and uncompressed audio up 192 kHz, PCM, LPCM, Dolby Digital, DTS.
